Back in 2002 Phil was approached by Ace Tennis Magazine and subsequently worked for them until 2008. This successful collaboration led to numerous commissions from the LTA and an invitation four years running to showcase work in his home town at The Liverpool International Tennis Tournament.
"Borg's cool calm approach on the tennis court during the 70's, at the height of his powers earnt him the nickname 'ice man'. I thought a 70's ice lolly fitted the theme rather well especially considering the tournaments location in 'Calderstones' a public park".

Commissioned by Ace tennis Magazine, this image accompanied an article concerning the ongoing foot problems felt by the world number two Rafael Nadal.

Concerning an incident with his old manager at Manchester United, Alex Ferguson.
A boot was kicked by the manager in The home teams changing rooms which by chance ricocheted and caught Becks above the eye.
Much speculation was made regarding a rift between player and manager as the star at the height of his fame sported a plaster for the next couple of weeks.
For your information Becks has also been known to sport a sarong, Alice band and even admitted wearing his wife's knickers while she affectionately referred to him as "Golden Balls"
