For 15 years, ‘How to Spend It’, the FT's multi-award-winning magazine, has been celebrating beauty and style with sumptuous images and insightful features. For the last 12 of those years Phil Disley has been illustrating the column 'Wry Society'. 'Wry Society' takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the world of the privileged and well-heeled, covering topics from plastic surgery and fashion to private schools and shooting parties. Voted Colour Supplement of the Year at The 2006 Newspaper Awards again by a big margin for the seventh time, two years ago ‘How To Spend It’ made publishing history by swooping all three major industry awards – The British Press Awards 2004, The British Society of Magazine Editors 2004 and The 2004 Newspaper Awards – something no other colour supplement has achieved. Editor Gillian de Bono says: "With his wicked, witty and deliciously funny caricatures, Phil Disley lays bare the unseemly underbelly of modern society. He truly is the Ralph Steadman of his generation."

In 2009 HTSI launched it's online version where a library of Phil's images can be seen
